12 Dec COSMOPOLIS TORONTO – Photographing the world, one Torontonian at a time
Toronto is a city of almost 3 million people, with more than half of its inhabitants born outside of Canada.
Many argue it is the most cosmopolitan city in the world.
Cosmopolis Torontoaims to celebrate Toronto’s multiculturalism by providing a platform from which to visualize – through artist Colin Boyd Shafer’s portrait photography – the concept of ‘diversity’, tell compelling stories, and bring people together from various communities and socio-cultural backgrounds within the GTA.
Two Cosmopolis Toronto exhibitions will take place at the Toronto Centre for the Arts (5040 Yonge St): The first will showcase a selection of photographs from the ongoing project from January 15 to February 22, 2014 followed by a second exhibition from May 1 to 31, 2014.
Balmoral Multicultural Marketing is a keen supporter of this initiative as it reflects the population our clients are targeting.
“We have supported Cosmopolis Toronto Project by using our contacts with multicultural media to promote attention to this project,” says Sharifa Khan, president and ceo, Balmoral Multicultural Marketing.
